K-Beauty - A.H.C
Since 2013, I've been traveling to Korea regularly for work and pleasure. I fell in love with Korean beauty supplies, from skincare to cosmetics. They are just amazing. One of my Korean BFF's (who has perfect skin) introduced me to a brand called A.H.C. You gotta trust your local friends more than the ads or the trendy crowds when you shop for beauty products. Since then, A.H.C (Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetics) is one of the skincare brand I've been using religiously for the last 2 years.
K-beauty is getting really popular everywhere. You can spot some brands in the stores like Sephora, Ultra Beauty, and online on Amazon. There are a lot of skincare and cosmetic brands in Korea. Seriously, A LOT! It is very hard to choose which brand to use, especially because some websites and descriptions are only in Korean. That's why I've decided to share some of the products that I've gotten to known. I hope you will enjoy reading about them and find this helpful. *This is not a paid ad and it is 100% base on my own experience.
Here is the A.H.C Company introduction from their website.
Here are the four products I'm introducing:
- HYDRA B5 TONER
- HYDRA SOOTHER MASK
- THE REAL EYE CREAM for FACE
- HYDRA B5 SOOTHER PRIVATE
The main ingredients of the products are:
- Sodium Hyaluronate
- Panthenol / Vitamin B5
- Hydrolyzed Collagen
- Centella Asiatica Extract
- Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract
- Panax Ginseng Root Extract
1. HYDRA B5 TONER
After washing my face I apply the toner, it absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves the skin clear and not sticky. The only con is that I don't like the smell of it. This is actually the latest product I've purchased from the brand. The previous items didn't have any strong scent, so I assumed it would be the same but it wasn't.
2. HYDRA SOOTHER MASK
The next step is my favorite!!! Face mask time. The Hydra Soother Mask is the first product I purchased from the brand around 2 years ago and it got me hooked. It is so amazing I don't think I'll ever stop using it. It came in a box of five, and they recommend to store it in a fridge for a better calming solution. I love putting it on cold. The mask is super thin and made from 100% cotton. It's very easy to put on and it sticks on the skin tight. There is usually some excess serum left over that I like to apply to other parts of my body, such as the neck area. It absorbs fast and you can tell the difference right away.
This mask is very gentle, it simply calms and moistens your skin so you can use it daily. Leave it on for 15-20 mins and you will feel your face soak up the delicious vitamin drink. I have very sensitive and dry skin, this mask really helps me soothe and hydrate it.
3. HYDRA B5 SOOTHER PRIVATE
I like to gently rinse my face off after the mask before using another serum because I don't like my skin to be too sticky. You can leave it on and massage into the skin as well.
After the mask, I use the PRIVATE serum. I really like the design of the bottle. Just one squeeze dispenses enough for your entire face and neck. It's a gel texture and it absorbs quickly when massaged into the skin, but leaves a slightly sticky finish. I usually don't use any more cream after this step, only during a very dry season or dry conditions.
4. THE REAL EYE CREAM for FACE
At first I was very confused by the name of this product. "The Real Eye Cream for Face" hmm... and then I realized this product is not just an eye cream, but you can use it as a wrinkle shot for your face and neck. I've tried many different eye creams before, and I realize if I use a very rich textured cream I get tiny white fat cells under my eyes. I went to the facial clinic and the doctor told me to stop using those rich and thick eye creams with intensive ingredient. That's why I really like this product. It is a light product that is easy to massage into the area and it absorbs quicklyt. I've been using it daily for about 1 year, and I have never gotten any fat cells or allergic reactions. It is very gentle and it really helps keep my skin smooth and bright.
After all the hard work ... whoooo hoooo :D
Omg, this post is very long isn't it? I hope you enjoyed my little asian beauty documentary and feel free to leave comments or ask me questions. xx
